You should just do it yourself and not pay some outfit. Check out mailchimp.

Looking for advice on business sale.

How much of your five year term remains? If less than two years, sell your equipment for what you can get and move on. If you have 4-5 years left you might be able to get someone to give you 50K to be able to operate that long and they can look at moving the business when the time comes… All in...

    Delivery insurance?

Just because a business claims its people are contractors does not make it so. Yes, without insurance you are exposed. You are also the best target. Think about your net worth and that of your drivers.

Time for a new prep table

I suggest you call your appliance repair guy and ask about them. The major brands have well earned reputations and often MUCH better parts channels. In the end, $4,000 difference is peanuts. Even if you only want to get 5 years out of it, after the tax benefit the difference is what $2,500 -...

    Tip Credit for business owner

As most of you know, I am out of the pizza biz these days. I am doing business brokerage and I find myself working with small businesses and reviewing financials every week. In that process I am always looking to present the financials in the best light… There is one item that I have found a...

    Cheese pricing question?

I found over the years that I could jump ahead of price increases. I would track the link Brad just gave you. When I would see prices jump I would know that I had a couple of weeks before that price would appear on my pricelist from US or Sysco and I would buy 6 weeks worth of cheese, (Yes, I...

When do your drivers get their credit card tips??

If he is not making a contribution there is nothing to match. Where is the problem? If he wants to make a contribution (and get the match) then he needs to make it from his tips. Not so hard to do really, he would just have to actually give you the money. I suspect you are correct though...

    Closing Early

Stick by your posted hours. Cut staff down and get the closing side work done. Walk out the door 5 minutes after close. With that said, closing hours do not need stay the same forever. What does your POS tell you about sales by hour/day of week? Seasonal? There is no reason you can’t study the...

    Demotions

I agree with the post above. Terminate employment. No reason given. Just suck it up on the unemployment if she files.

When do your drivers get their credit card tips??

Switched to paying on the paycheck two+ years ago. After some initial grumbling the staff came to like it more as they actually still had the money when payday came instead of it trickling away all week long.

    Dropping delivery

I started buying store-owned cars after about 7-8 years in business and did it that way for 11-12 years until I sold. I bought used Subaru Outbacks. Generally they had about 130K on them and I bought them for $3,000 and put signs on top. Mostly we got 4-5 years out of them and sold them for...

    Dropping delivery

Buy a couple of cars. Having your own delivery vehicles allows you to hire drivers that do not have a car or don’t wish to use it. Vehicle costs are offset by not paying mileage or delivery fees to drivers.

    Part time employee HELP!!!

I would stick to the full-time vs part time story and not talk about reliability.

    Vendors Getting Orders Wrong

Ridiculous. Every check you ever paid contains the same information including all the checks paid to all the employees you ever had.
