    Types Of Crust

Not to get off topic, but we also just added the gluten free, its an 11" round and comes on a foil tray. I forget what the exact cost was, but I dont believe it was as expensive as yours. We sell them at $9.99 for just cheese and a $1 per topping, no coupons or discounts and people love them. We...

    How do you do payroll?

You can do your policy through ADP or Paychex…they basically broker it out for you. I had Paychex do a quote for me and then also had my insurance broker quote it out and the Paychex quote was cheaper. Now that I am switching to ADP they offered to quote it out again for me since the policy is...

    How do you do payroll?

I currently use Paychex as well, but am in the process of switching over to ADP. With Paychex you really have to watch out for their “junk” fees, like adding and removing employees, if you have anyone with garnishments they charge as well. ADP cut the monthly fee and does not have any of the...

    managers...operations....sales? Your thoughts

Just another update on this. Last week was the first week that we started switching managers. Both managers took a day to get adjusted, but it seemed to go well. We picked up a few orders from new businesses at the slower location and both managers seem to like whats happening, so far so good.

    Delivery Times

When it comes to this, the people answering the phones are really important, because they are the ones quoting times. You really need to make sure they are aware of whats going on. We usually quote a range, like 35 to 45 minutes. This depends on what time of the day and whas going on of course...

    Pepsi VS Coke pricing

Not sure if it is just regional or not, but did the Pepsi sellers here get the letter/info on the new price increases. Yikes! I know pizza places traditionally have a little bit higher prices on pop, but to make it worth it, we are up to $2.50 out the door for a two liter.

    Type Of Operation

I think you really need to look at your experience/comfort zone and what the location is that your looking at. I have a store that is delivery/carryout, but would probably do really good with a small dining area. It all depends on who your customers are going to be. If you are planning on having...

Besides - Loopnet & Craigslist: Real Estate

I would just do a web search for your city and business brokers. I dont know if thats the new thing in Michigan or I just found it, but they are everywhere and hey only sell businesses. Its really interesting just to see whats out there. Also gives me an idea if the competition is selling their...

    managers...operations....sales? Your thoughts

I thought I would post an update on this situation. I knew by throwing this out there that I would get some great ideas and I did. I talked to both managers about this and was able to spin it in a positive way to both. I think that they both realized that they had some weaknesses and that there...

    really?

I hear you on this. Seems like customers are complaining about the littlest things. As much as I hate to do it, I actually had to ban a customer last week. We had 7 orders from her over the last month and after reviewing her notes in our POS, she called back and complained after every order. My...

    managers...operations....sales? Your thoughts

Good idea with the list, I didnt think of doing that way. I think what I might try is have them do the list and then talk to each manager individually before we get together so I can make it/edit into a positive thing. As we all know some workers/ managers can be a little rough around the edges...

    managers...operations....sales? Your thoughts

Thanks to the quick reply everyone. I thought about this alot last night. I also talked to my manager who is operations based and told him what I was thinking and here is what I came up with… I am going to do a “GM swap” so that each week they are working 2 or 3 days at the other store, but...

    managers...operations....sales? Your thoughts

i am throwing this out there, since everyone here always has great input and I am in a mental debate with myself and am having issues deciding. I own two stores that are located about 15 minutes apart. One store is busy, about 12-15k per week and my manager there is VERy sales oriented. He can...

WING SAUCES & PACKAGING NON-PIZZA ITEMS

Good point with the vented container. The containers that we use are vented as well, no one likes soggy wings.

WING SAUCES & PACKAGING NON-PIZZA ITEMS

I own a couple of franchise stores and we just changed our wings, we now offer 8 different flavors. I think the thought behind it was to compete with “wing street” and buffalo wild wings. We are using some new plastic wing containers with lids that fit pretty tight and we are doing all the...
