Need Help with Custom Labels for Popcorn Packaging

Just looks like a typical sticker that you can also order from nextdayflyers.com We do not do custom stickers for our plastic bags of popcorn. But we do have a business card sized sticker that we should put on them in the future. Thank you for the idea! We give out a free small paper bag of...

    Text messaging Marketing- Boostly

Boostly is not bad. They can help you grow your list very well by messaging all customers in your database. And the way their system works / text platform is cool too. We used them for about 6 months but went back to our old service due to the cost. But like others have said they are expensive...

how to handle phone calls being unanswered by employees ?

Clearly stating your policy. Write ups if phone calls are not answered / orders not taken the last 15 minutes. Personally I review my call log report every morning, and review any last calls to see if they placed an order. Our online ordering shuts off 5 minutes before close due to 1-2 min lag...

    EVOO vs This Oil

From what I have read over the years straight EVOO is not recommended in dough due to the waste of $$$. It is too high quality of a product and yes, I believe the baking would remove some of the qualities of it. IIRC Tom recommended Pomace olive oil. It is a lower quality and better for dough...

    Determining Hobart MFG Date

I spoke with Hobart a few months ago to inquire about another mixer. They said that mixers with 7 numbers in the serial number would be made pre 70’s. And with 8 digits would be made in the 70’s. So I would gather yours was made in the 70’s.

    Buying an Existing Shop

The COGs number that they gave is no way true. No way 20% food and paper cost. More likely 30%+ 20% profit is possible. But not easy. You have to be on your game and that would most likely have to be with a working owner/manager.

    Benchmark time for making pizza

How long does it take you to make a pizza? How long does it take other staff members to make a pizza? Get an average and make that the goal. I believe I can make a large pepperoni pizza in just over 1 minute from an already sheeted dough. Dock, sauce, Cheese, pepperoni

    Is PFG still #1?

We use PFG, but get our steak from Rest Depot. We use Philadelphia’s Finest. $40.89/case this week. I don’t think PFG carries Broad Street Butcher, what is the brand on the #9781364? The steak we use I am sure could be better, we do go through about 5 cases / week of it. Lose about 30% when we...

Whats your food cost on non pizza items?

Watched that(long) video. I was at Wendy’s the other day and some of the combos are $11. So if someone buys a $12 salad and gets a complimentary glass of water they are in the same price rance as a burger combo. Plus, they are actually eating healthily and will be consuming far less calories but...

    Changing pizza sizes

We sell 5 sizes. I can’t imagine the simplicity of selling only 1! Have thought numerous times about dropping a size (8" 10" 12" 14" Full Sheet) but there are other complications that come into that as well (10" cauliflower, 12" thin crust, use 8" dough for multiple things, use 10" dough for...
