    Slice online ordering

Took a moment to find your restaurant online, and sure enough the Google order buttons are there. See here. They appear on mobile as well as “Place Order”. (I’ve hidden any identifiable details.) A customer searching for your restaurant online will see that and usually just click instead of...

    Slice online ordering

Short of cancelling the service, sorry to say I haven’t heard of a way yet. Many owners have tried calling Google and the services w/o success. Search your restaurant on Google and see if a button appears there too. If it doesn’t, it probably will soon. There’s a small discussion on reddit...

    Slice online ordering

Keep in mind what these services are now doing on Google as well. Not only do their listings appear above yours many times in Google’s search results, but now a “Place Order” button appears on the search results page! It looks as though you the restaurant purposely put it as part of your...

Any Suggestions on mobile ordering for Pizzeria?

Any decent service can integrate with those systems. Just takes using a 3rd party api. Just be forewarned, not all POSs listed support all functionality. The 3rd party api charges like an extra $30 per month. And most importantly, the POS will usually charge a hefty license fee as well.

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

Ha… I’m trying not to reply… Ok, enough trying. The main point of my original comment wasn’t solicitation. But hey, why not mention the service? It was to explain the advantages and disadvantages of the main options from the service perspective. And hopefully spark a conversation with input...

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

Thanks. You as well. And thanks for the feedback. I look forward to reading your opinions on the online ordering and POS integration issue in the future. It seems you have some strong beliefs and ideas on the matter. Even if we disagree on a topic, I think the conversations are always helpful...

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

We’ll have to agree to disagree. Going back to when I first joined this forum, many said manual order entry was a big con. So that drawback is very apparent with my 3rd option. We also do POS integration, but again that also has its major cons, as I listed. Every option has its...

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

Sorry for any confusion, but I did try to list some advantages and disadvantages of all options. Anyone who has spent any time on this forum knows manual entry of orders is looked down upon. So mentioning that, imo, is listing a big con. It seems you’re just looking to knock anyone associated...

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

Btw, technically I put down all the options when it comes to POS integration. Including the ones that involve my company. Because as I mentioned, there are no perfect solutions.

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

I listed the options that are available. While trying to inform some about the challenges involved. Are you saying I’m incorrect in my summation?

    3rd Party Online Order Companies

Right. There is no perfect/easy solution. Otherwise the multi-billion dollar online ordering companies would have POS integration by now. POS integration is the holy grail of online ordering that doesn’t have a perfect (smooth/cheap) option. Options: You can choose a POS that has an online...

    I hate Domino's

All the gimmicks/gadgets in the world won’t make up for “pizza” that tastes like cr@p.

What do you think of this article?

Interesting, thanks for the post, but nothing surprising. Anyone in or out of the industry can see it happening. If you’re in a region not affected much by this, seems like only a matter of time before it becomes a concern. Which is exactly why we started our service… (hint, hint) To allow the...

    Question for owners

Great question and if you figure out the answer, you’d be rich regardless of whether your product actually sells. Tons of people/services would use you for advertising their own products/services to restaurants. (Me included. So let me know if you ever figure it out.) We’ve tried (or are...

    Online Ordering

Depends what you’re looking for from your online ordering solution. The more expensive services (while really darn expensive) do bring in additional customers that your typical flat-rate services do not. Advertising/marketing to bring in those additional customers isn’t cheap. Trust me...
