    doorhanging advice-complaints

royster13: We’ve tried both and I see no appreciable difference in return on full color vs 2 color. I prefer 2 color because it’s cheaper, quicker, and because I whole-heartedly believe doorhanging is about frequency than quality. I hit a subdivision three times in a two week period with these...

question regarding profitabilty of a little ceasars franchis

Re: question regarding profitabilty of a little ceasars fran I suppose it DOES depend on the delivery driver payment structure. We collect a delivery fee which is paid directly to the driver without any other compensation from us. Therefore, they are not “labor”. So the 3500 you speak of...

question regarding profitabilty of a little ceasars franchis

Re: question regarding profitabilty of a little ceasars fran pizza master6000: $4400-5000 a week in labor? Dayum, I want to be a part of THAT payroll! While food cost is generally a steady percentage of sales, I don’t think labor is the same. If he is doing 20k a week in sales I imagine labor...

wow you guys are paying a fortune for doorhangers. My 50,000 2-sided 2-color cost me a whopping $850. $500 for 5,000? I’d spit on them.

    School contracts or church contracs

JAYP: My Friend, Even though my “story” is specific to my store, it is the process which can be applied to ANY store and ANY industry. In your particular case you are carry-out only. There is nothing wrong with this. If that is the route you wish to follow, we can tailor it. You claim your...

    School contracts or church contracs

For someone asking me about this, I’d say figure out your business model, identity and brand. Once you have that, you can decide which way to go with competing for contracts like this . . . price, quality, service level . . . or the RedBarn solution way . . . or a hybrid of them all. I’m Red...

    School contracts or church contracs

My dear friends. Let me stress that we ourselves are commoditizing our own industry and product when we sell by price. When you read a post that it is no longer about the quality of the pizza, but the number of mouths you can feed on a budget- that is a key statement that our product has become...

How Many of you work at your store fulltime.

j_r0kk: I echo J-r0kk’s statements. As an owner you MUST, absolutely MUST get out there and market your store. It is ok to initially work in your store to make sure operations are set up the way you want, conduct the initial training and hiring, and provide ongoing staff support. Plus it is...

    CCTV

JAYP: As the next poster correctly informed, it is illegal- not only in many states, but it is already a federal law. You WILL be facing a great deal of fines and possibly jail time if one of your employee or customers reports you. Additionally you subject yourself to civil suits by employees...

    Assistant Mangers and Shift Leaders

I noticed in an earlier post Assistant manager 1 and assistant manager 2. IMHO, there should only be one assistant manager. The roll of the GM and the Assistant manager should be almost identical. The AM acts as GM in the GM’s absense. He or she may not be ultimately responsible for the store to...

    Motivation vs. Nit picking

Well if this isn’t a problem that every operator hasn’t experience at least once, I don’t know what is. It’s a challenge, no doubt. Employees generally see themselves as just “workers” and the company as just a “job”, but I will bestow a few key points I have learned over the years (for what...

    Concerning corporate spying

I’ll admit it…I’m a dumpster diver. That’s also why mine is locked up tight. What a gold mine of information, especially of pizza eating customers. I also follow my competitor’s drivers to get addresses and I can get an idea of what they’re ordering by the size and type of packaging.
