Does anyone use any software for food costing their menu? currently using an excel spreadsheet but that seems a bit outdated
 
At Woodward Pizza, our accounting software has built in food costing software. We get weekly P&Ls and we also used the item usage variance reporting based on our POS data recipes, we also do our payroll in the software. It has helped us to pinpoint areas where staff are not following recipes/ procedures, we have caught theft based on the reporting also. We use rasiusa.com, shoot me a message if you have any questions.
