Speedline will be my next choice for sure. Also that vantiv / worldpay buyout is pretty nuts… we use both but I guess not for long! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Ok, yeah, sure, I’ll bite. So let me get this straight. We - including myself - have been complaining about software issues we’ve been struggling with for years, yet one guy “praises” the company and he is showered with thousands in free gifts? What kind of business model is this? How is this...

Deck to Conveyor & making the switch. Sort of. Advice?

This specific location has a limited menu versus our main location which is a full blown Italian restaurant, but we still have a full kitchen. Fryers, ovens(convection), grills, etc

Deck to Conveyor & making the switch. Sort of. Advice?

I’ll be honest, even after 50 years I couldn’t claim consistency during peak hours. I don’t think anyone who runs deck ovens could, unless you are low volume or run at a low temp. When you have 4 ovens full at all times it just takes a large amount of skill. Hell, I might even say it’s...

Excellent information - I appreciate any advice I can get!

Deck to Conveyor & making the switch. Sort of. Advice?

Ok so I’ve been a deck guy on this forum for a while now, and I do love them very much so, but one of our locations just cannot keep up with the demand. We have two double stacks now with no room to add more. I think I’ve come to the crossroads that many ex-deck users have come to and I need...

    Round Pizza Serving Trays

The pleezers work I think if you have the time to cut on a board first. I had a sample and you def cannot cut on that thing (which I expected just by looking at it)… I’d maybe look into reasons for the sogginess also instead of finding solutions to hide it. Not saying that it’s possible to...

    spoon, spoodle or ladle.

I can apply 8 oz of sauce to a 16" pie with a ladle in 3 seconds… I tried a spoodle once granted it was a flat bottom spoodle but man it sucked. It took me 20 seconds and i never touched it again… Pretty sure you could probably apply sauce with a fork enough times to get very good at it. Just...

    Revention - PCI Compliant

Revention essentially forced me to go with external machines about 8 months ago. They said they were completely dropping the ability to use the actual POS system for credit card transactions. My guess was they are too lazy/shitty to update their actual software to be compliant so they just...

    Wages and payroll %

No joke… Worst part is we just lost ours and I can’t even find someone decent for 70k… Sigh. The job is tough though. Multiple store GM…

We try to keep everyone at 10 an hour minimum up to about 70k for GM PS. Revention sucks. Buggy as hell.

    Interchange Plus?

0% +.05 is good. You can push for a penny more if you’re lucky or maybe even more if you do massive amounts of transactions? Check for a total monthly summary quote to see all fees. 0% usually far outweighs most fees though if you do big numbers.

anyone use full olive oil for dough

What imitation butter did you use? Why not real butter? I’d never try baking with things like phase or similar stuff…

    Fattmerchant as CC processor?

Yeah I never understood when companies come at me with, “we’ll match the price”. I’m not going to deal with the headaches of switching just so I can pay the same exact amount. The only person winning in that situation is them. Sysco does that a lot with us. Annoying. Definitely put on your...

    Reviews.... ahhhh.... but, well... hmmm

You know. The shitty thing is, when you go out of your way, you never seem to get a great review for it. For instance tonight, a lady came in and ate, but didn’t have her credit card, thus she didn’t have a way to pay. No cash, no credit, no nothing. This is dine in mind you. So she wanted to...

    Sink faucets! The best?

I need to look into fisher… I really need something that lasts for sure… thank you for the suggestion. Yeah, the quarter turns are exactly what I’m talking about… I have no clue if they actually last longer but I love the concept. Once the faucet starts to have the slightest drip our guys just...

    Sink faucets! The best?

I’m super tired of rebuilding sink faucets. They are always turned off with gorilla brute strength and open and closed hundreds of times a day so they don’t last at all. I’m lucky to see 3 months before I have to rebuild a faucet one way or another. I have a spare sink that isn’t actually...

    Employee and recruiting challenges

I’ve had some luck with indeed and Craigslist. Mainly indeed. I use the word luck loosely. Tried Facebook (boosted for 35 bucks too) and got crap results. It all seems so random now a days. Just got to get the right person who happens to be looking at the right place at the right time…
