    CUTTING BOARD SUB TABLE

Dipping rags in bleach then laying them out to cover the cutting boards overnight will whiten them as well. You can spray on bleach too but the rags keep the boards wet overnight. I’ve refurbished (color at least) some real nasty prep table boards like this. We also do it every few weeks to keep...

Fluffier product in a deck oven?

What’s the secret to a fluffier/softer product in a deck oven? I’m not gonna lie, I love crazy bread style breadsticks but our recipe when baked in a deck oven is just too crispy. Tried it with air impingement and it was better… I’m really looking for that softness that soaks up dipping sauce...

Adding Delivery Make People Order More?

Your posts always have a weird condescending undertone that make me feel like you are subtly saying we are all doing it wrong without actually saying we are all doing it wrong. We are also a family business, but that model would be a disaster for us. It’s just how it goes. What works in some...

Adding Delivery Make People Order More?

Doubtfully legal. Here it’s only legal if government agencies do it. Go figure. You can, here at least, deduct the percentages from tips owed to employees. We don’t bother though, as much as I want to sometimes. Just seems kind of a shitty thing to do since it’s not really their fault.

    Credit Card Fees

If you process an absurd amount of cards, you should easily be able to negotiate great rates…depending on what your definition of absurd is of course. I’d definitely try though because even a small change makes for big bucks for guys who process a ton of business.

    Credit Card Fees

Other than the interchange fees that nobody can get around, I pay $8.50 a month in fees. Nothing yearly.

    Pizza Order Forms

Not using a Point of Sales system is like using a rotary dial telephone. Scratch that, it’s like using a switchboard. Nah, scratch that, it’s like using a can with some damn string attached to another can. Where to begin? One problem is making sure that people aren’t ripping you off. There are...

    Start up

^this If you can handle that, you can handle anything. Also, being Italian (Sicilian) American it’s nice to hear about all the others on this forum (or this thread specifically) who are of Italian heritage, or have Italian spouses. I guess it makes sense, I just never really knew! Not that you...

    Credit Card Fees

I asked a similar question about mobile swiping and how it was implemented a few months back. Worth checking out. Also understand that there are interchange rate percentages that you can’t get around regardless of your negotiation skills… I essentially take my credit card sales and what they...

    BringMeThat.com

Who knows… we offer online ordering and our site is set up way better too… not sure what these people use to search, because if you use anything normal like google, our actual website comes up way before these third party guys. Maybe they are clicking ads on Facebook or something, I don’t get it.

    Printing Coupons or Boxtop Coupons

While I’ve never personally went the EDDM route because I can’t find enough time in my day as it is, I do currently use Mailshark… They are a solid group of people. I’m definitely happy enough to pay them, and sales are up for sure. Not really certain if my sales increase is because of them...

    BringMeThat.com

Happened to me a month or so ago. Lady got charged too. We never even got the order. What I don’t like about this is that it puts me in a situation where the customer subconsciously associates my company name with fraud (in theory).

    Credit Card Fees

You really have to fight for those percentages. When I negotiated for my rate (0% and .05 per transaction) it took me days of back and forth, back and forth between all the top processors out there. Finally after realizing it was a game, I sent out an email with everyone cc’d on it saying...

Security Cameras: Who has them? How do you use them?

I picked up a 16 cam(two actually) DVR system from sams. Samsung branded for like 399. Comes with 10 cams, all HD. You can easily buy the other 6 if you need them. Great quality and it’s been working great for me. 299 during Black Friday and I couldn’t beat the price. Even at 399 really. The app...

    Collecting Customer Data via WiFi

They bugged me forever. It’s expensive and some people on the net I asked about it claimed it was even illegal in some states. Not sure how true that is, because I ever got past the price. 299 a month if I remember correctly… Cool features though. Just a hard pill to swallow for that price.

    Baseless 1 Star Review

Just got a 1 star review a few days ago because we weren’t opened… how is that a review? Didn’t even try the product. Heh. I could write a book with all the reviews that don’t belong on my page.
