for delivery - 10 dollars minimum for cash, 15 for credit. problem?

We easily lose money on $10 deliveries. Our cost per delivery is around $9. I’ll take some losses to keep some customers. We do a higher delivery charge for longer deliveries to try to balance out the cost. I probably should be looking at a much higher minimum [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone...

am i the only one who can not find help these days??

We use Snagajob. They will try to sell you a full package of a couple hundred $ a month but they do have ones for much less if you require less services. We do application tracking. Attitude testing i9, w4 and all new hire documents are signed on line. We pay about $35 a month per location. We...

for delivery - 10 dollars minimum for cash, 15 for credit. problem?

We have a $10 to $20 minimum depending on the zone. The managers can over ride it if needed. Its mostly a suggestion.

am i the only one who can not find help these days??

We switched to an online applicant tracking system about a year ago and it has helped a lot. We get about 20 to 30 applications a week where we used go get only a couple. We use pre-screening questions which helps weed out bad fits. We currently have a waiting list of people who want to get in...

Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Postmates, Amazon

That’s good. We have 4 locations. They had higher prices at 3 and the same at 1. So they are definitely all over the map. If their service benefits you by all means use them. It just wasn’t a fit for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Postmates, Amazon

Doordash puts you on their website without telling you. Then sells your product at a markup and pockets the cash. Less value for your customers and less money for your drivers to make. I have spent the last 2 years chasing them away. The last salesman told me I would be out of business by now...

Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Postmates, Amazon

I’ve been chasing these guys away for a couple of years now. I find the whole business model a dud when you look at it closely. For any business to work you have to have each party benefit from the transaction. The Customers, the employee and the business. With this model you add in the private...

    Lloyd Pans made to order?

Mine usually arrive in a couple of weeks, but have been longer at times. We switched to the Quick Disk 5 years ago and they have worked great. I still have all my original disk but have had to add more to adapt to higher volumes. For screens 6 months was a good lifespan, the Quick Disk are...

    Speedline monday morning surprise!

Their fix from a couple of weeks ago repaired about half of my stations. Still have about 15 stations in reboot loop every Monday morning. They sent out an email yesterday there are some new fixes but its a call in thing and we have not had time to call in. On a positive note, our Monday morning...

    AC & Heat (HVAC)

You have to have a lot of HVAC to compensate for the make up air. We are basically in the desert and need 1.5 tons per 100 square feet of kitchen space. You can get conditioned make up air systems but they will cost you a good 30K.

how to quaterback deliveries if i dont know area?

You will be surprised how fast you can learn a delivery area. Cranky customers calling with the " where’s my pizza " will speed up the learning curve even more. Every time a delivery comes in… look it up. Does your area have a somewhat organized city block number system, or is more of a rural...

    Starting my Mailshark today.

They have both been a bit on the flat side. About 4% up on average this year. It’s all bit wonky because because Easter was 2 weeks earlier than last. Much our base are catholic and lent affects our Friday’s. They both started the mailers last week. From my best estimates the campaign added...

    Starting my Mailshark today.

We just finished a 10 week program at 2 locations. We mailed 1250 of the double fold magnets each week at each location. These locations were averaging a 6% increase over the prior year before the campaign. The increase steadily rose to 15% over the course of the 10 weeks. The mailers were in...

    Pizza Skins on Rack

Just about every pizza we sell is a pre skin. I have found the key is to have a slightly under proofed dough to begin with. We do not pre sauce though. We can easily get a great rise with pre skins up to 2 hours old.

    Potential Opportunity - Thoughts Requested

You are basically buying the equipment and and build out with a place that does 4k a week. Which is fine as it may cost way more than 100k to build it out new. There is no profit there at this point. Even if you managed a 10% margin you are only at 20k a year. A place with those numbers in...

Quiet Conveyor? XLT, MM, or Edge

Here are results of my totally un-scientific experiment on the quietness of these 3 ovens I took these reading with 1 oven running and the hood off. I stood at the sandwich window and held my phone 12 inches away. Oven 1 Middleby Marshall ps555 2002 model 86.5 decibels. This oven is a bit old...

Quiet Conveyor? XLT, MM, or Edge

I have all 3 of these ovens and I vote for the XLT. But it may be skewed a bit because of the hood exhaust motor at the store with the XLT being further away. I do have a decibel meter on my phone so I’ll check it out with out hood noise over the next couple of days.
