    new mixer advice

I may be wrong but I think Daddio uses the Doyon mixer and has had good things to say about it. We use the LBC spiral mixer. This is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Never breaks down and pumps out loads of perfect dough. Brand new will cost you half the price of a Hobart.

Yea, we have had people called all of those things. This one, for whatever reason, I was overly offended by.

    Yelp/Google

I’m sure there is no liability. The guy had a legit complaint. They lost his carry out order on a busy night where it didn’t get made. The girl was there on her day off but offered to help because it was a big night. She noticed he was waiting longer than normal so she made an extra effort to...

    Yelp/Google

We have screwed up plenty of times and received a bad review from it. I’m totally OK with that. You gotta take your medicine sometimes. My issue with Yelp is we show up in searches that are our of our delivery area. When we turn down the delivery and a 1 star review shows up. We have a couple...

Length of Pick up times on a Friday Night

The WOW ovens we run at 5:00. The old ps555 we run at 6:00. Combine that with longer bake chamber gets you another 50 14" pizzas per hour, per oven.

Length of Pick up times on a Friday Night

I call this a good problem to have. I’ve been fighting this issue for several years now. I’ve been able to tinker things a bit hear and there to improve out systems and get order thru quicker. Still a ways to go but we are getting there. I’m looking a purchasing a Middleby 570 wow triple stack...

Length of Pick up times on a Friday Night

We usually quote 20 for pick up and 45 to 60 for delivery. Our average delivery time is 35 minutes. If we get swamped on a certain night we will stretch that out. We do have morning and afternoon shifts occasionally where we do big order for companies and schools where our quoted time can be as...

Opening of a pizza restaurant : USA vs CANADA

I have seen places that seem to change hands easily every 2 years. It goes like this. Original guy invest 300k and opens brand new location. Over a 2 year period he loses another 100k and sells the place for 200k. Next guy loses another 100k over the next 2 years and then sell for 100k Next...

    Delivery charges/driver reimbursement

The Domino’s in our areas run $1.25 per delivery. I just try to keep $.25 above them.

Bagging cold sauces-seperate or with hot food?

My food supplier handles it. But the company is called Castle Importing. Based in Fontana CA. They said we were too small of a customer to print custom packets but my food supplier strong armed them into doing it.

Bagging cold sauces-seperate or with hot food?

For 25 years I had tried everything to reduce the cheese and pepper packet cost. Rationing - give away “x” amount of packets per pizza Hiding them. As mentioned above Only if they ask policy Portioning our own in 1/2 oz solo cups Buying cheapo ones at Sams Club. A few years ago I threw in the...

How do you deal with the problem of drivers leaving food behind when they take a delivery?

Just a reminder to check the orders more carefully in the future. Things happen, people make mistakes. Say your peace and move on.

Bagging cold sauces-seperate or with hot food?

We bag ours separately so they stay cold. They go in a bag with the cheese and peppers. This helps out the drivers with tips because they can directly hand the customer the goodies and impress upon the extra effort they put forth. I have had drivers put them in the box in the past and received...

Sad to hear that. I was wonder why I hadn’t heard from him for a while. He had just moved to a new location.

Best way to increase online orders

So I spoke with Brygid about this and they do have a set up for this but its not really what I was looking for. They can set you up with 1 time offer promo codes. They will set up a 7 digit code for a special, say 1 large pizza for $10. The code would be something like LARXXXX. The X’s wound be...

Best way to increase online orders

My father in law grew up in the Midwest. The first time I met him. ( I was already scared ). He asked me if I wanted a pop. I thought that meant he was going to punch me. [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best way to increase online orders

Great ideas, thank you. Domino’s ran tv commercials talking about how they were bad at phone orders and it was better to order online. Love the word “pop” also. Know one out here would even know what that is. They would assume it was a firecracker. 🙂

Best way to increase online orders

This is how I’m leaning. I’ll have to check with Brygid to see if they have a filter of some sort that will disallow a certain coupon if the customer has already placed an online order with us.
