    Market share

It’s difficult to tell now days because each house has like 10 phone numbers. 20 Year’s ago when there was just one main number we could easily do a count. Back then we were around 10%. If memory serves me right we had about 4000 customers with 40000 addresses. Today I have like 60000 customers...

    Forecasting labor costs

We don’t turn people away per se. We just increased the delivery fee and took the area off our online map. Then let supply and demand go into effect. I always thought mentone was a good area. Meat and potato’s type people. Loma Linda was a bit on the snobbish side. Sent from my iPhone using...

    Forecasting labor costs

Do you guys still deliver to mentone and Loma Linda? We did back in the day and was just too large of a delivery area. Especially with today’s labor cost. I’ve been shrinking Southridge delivery area a little more each year. We rarely ever go to deep rubidoux anymore. I’m finding that there is...

    Forecasting labor costs

I find this the best way to keep track of your labor hour by hour. If you have 6 people on staff for the rush you know you need to $480 an hour to make your budget. If you do more you are gaining and if you do less you are loosing. Labor and food cost are your top 2 expenses but you have to put...

    Forecasting labor costs

We definitely try to but it is just the lunch and dinner rush. The rest of the day if we can make 50 per hour we’re happy. You can get higher than that with the right crew. We do $1000 hours with 10 people all the time and things run smooth as pie. That’s a sales per labor hour of $100. I find...

    Forecasting labor costs

Generally we split it down the middle. If we have 4 on staff to do $300 per hour we have 2 inside ( 1 will be the manager). And 2 drivers. We require our drivers to do all the inside work also so they are essentially an insider while they are waiting for their deliveries. Some stores have to...

    Forecasting labor costs

You are going to have to get in there a live it to know for sure. We aim for a sales per labor hour of around $80 for or rushes. So for a $300 hour we would need about 4 people. 300/80 = 3.75 people. For $500 we would need 6 people. 500/80 = 6.25 That’s just taking care of customers and does...

You don’t need to change any configuration. Maybe a little less heat. But probably not even that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Been playing with the lloyd discs....

They are the same end result. Just get the quick disc and spend less. I tested both and came to that conclusion. The Lloyd guy told me the same thing. They just carry the hex disc because they have a big customer who wants them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Labor

Do you feel staying open as late as you do puts upward pressure on your labor cost? We used to stay open till 1am back in the 90s. But we close as early as 10 now. We just couldn’t get the labor cost to work staying open late. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Labor

Net sales. We have spent most of years running 30% labor and 35% food. Over the last few years we had to flip those because of increasing labor cost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Labor

Industry standard is around 33% labor with a manager and all related labor expenses. We are in a high labor cost area and run about 36 to 37%. We will be pushing 40% by 2019. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    purchasing an existing shop

Most restaurants are for sale simply because they are loosing money. I’ve sold 3 locations over the years and it was for that reason. I told the buyers they were loosing money and that they needed an owner/operator to turn them around. Most restaurants for sale are listed as " owner retiring" or...

    CC processing fees

3 years ago the California public voted in laws regarding what is a felony and a misdemeanor. Any property crime must be over $950 value in order for it to be a felony. Less than that its a misdemeanor and the police will take no action. You can steal $949 at a time all day, every day and there...

    CC processing fees

Just went online and looked ours up for October Fees $9178 CC Sales $411,950 % 2.23 We use Heartland also. I have no idea what my discount rate is, what my swipe is, what cost plus is, or what my transaction fee is. Our charge backs were only $850 for the month. I’m super happy with that.
