    Carryout-only discount

Oh, ok. I’m with you on that one 🙂 But I would also suggest that you wait to hear on different opinions and suggestions from other members who have better experience and give you better insight.

How do you plan on running that special? Direct mail, box toppers, in-store advertisement?

    Issues with Landlord

Like everyone else before me, I’m going to suggest the same thing… Get out while you can! As big as your loss might be if you walk out now with getting the best deal you can, it will not compare to future losses down the road. Bodega gave 2 perfect examples to consider. I know this is a hard...

    Carryout-only discount

Any deal that can give incentive and attract new customers to your store is a good deal, as long as it doesn’t break the bank. With that said, this deal will also apply to your existing customers and in fact the highest percentage will be your existing customers using it. So, since your XL...

Theft by staff using "pizza box" button on POS ?

I try to see the logic behind this button but other than either charging for the box or tracking inventory or both, it doesn’t really make sense to me. If you don’t use it to initially notify the kitchen that a dine-in order has a pizza to-go, I fail to see the point in this. The price for the...

Beware: EMV (Chip Cards) and POS Integration

I said this few times before but let me say it again and get it out of the way: Disclaimer: I’m a POS reseller and an independent sales agent for credit card processing! Over the last week, few friends of mine have been contacted by their POS company, and were told that they will need to...

    Frustration with Revention

I only jumped to the WinXP conclusion because Win7 wouldn’t run with this configuration (a 2gb partition) as these are the windows 7 min requirements: Windows 7 system requirements Applies to: Windows 7 If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here’s what it takes: []1 gigahertz (GHz) or...

    Frustration with Revention

Hi there, It would be really strange that you would have systems with only 4gb hard drives installed, and that being split in 2 partitions, even if they are using Windows XP version which is possible since you purchase your system 6 years ago. But if that’s the case of having windows XP, then...

    Speedline monday morning surprise!

In simple words for all: Windows Updates overwrites windows files, registry entries, many .dll files and even changes the windows version and other information included in the “Windows Profile” which sometimes can cause programs that are activated based on the current information of windows...

    Speedline monday morning surprise!

Best option I can recommend as a workaround for this issue, is to disable the windows update service. If you block the windows from updating then your problems will be solved until a major update would be required. In which case you would have to manually enable the update service and install...

how to quaterback deliveries if i dont know area?

The mapping idea, could work 10 years ago… In rush hours don’t expect anyone to be standing in front of the map trying to organize routes. It just won’t happen! If you can’t/don’t or won’t spend the money to upgrade to a better system that can provide you with the information you need, then...

    Speedline Users

In most cases, a reset & re-config will do the trick. I had that happened quite a few times. It always worked for me except one time were the sonicwall was fried 🙂 Here are the step by step instructions on how to re-configure your sonicwall in case anyone needs too...

    Menu Boards

That looks a really nice setup 🙂 Not just the TVs, but the shop from what I can see in that picture. Is your menu that small or you just didn’t include everything? I used to do USB setups for customers, and I still do for some who are still using it. Just emailing them the updated files so they...

    Speedline- pay @ the door

@paul7979 Nice points! However: []You don’t usually get charged per keyed transaction a higher rate until your keyed transactions exceed the 30% of your total transactions. Then you’ll most likely get an overall higher rate including the keyed transactions. []The additional cost of the machines...

    Menu Boards

Hi Bobby, Quick answer is yes you could. You’ll have to add the files as pictures (jpeg format), and select the source/input USB at your TVs. The only problem you could have by doing that is that you could eventually start burning pixels on your TV due to the still image.

    POS System - Touch Dynamic?

I know with Point of Success you’ll be able to use existing equipment and it offers online ordering and delivery. Few other considerable options are Speedline, FoodTec & Prism, but I don’t know if anyone will let you use existing equipment. Good Luck 🙂

    POS System - Touch Dynamic?

Touch Dynamic is only a hardware manufacturer, not a point of sale software. The hardware is good however, depending on how old it is. You have to find out which software they’re using.

    Bentobox website

Have you looked at Wix.com or squarespace? Good alternatives, do it yourself kinda deal, with drag & drop content. Very easy to do, easy to maintain, and low prices.
