*** Investors needed for NEW POS Software development ***

Wow! Now that’s a comment! A bit harsh but well written and probably one of the most impressive and useful comments I’ve gotten so far! Please don’t get this the wrong way, I really appreciate your input as I do appreciate your time you put into this. I’m going to try and respond to your points...

Credit card processing and toast pos

“Credit card surcharges are illegal in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma, Maine and Texas. Merchants should be aware of their state laws before applying convenience fees or surcharges to transactions.” You can find the related post...

Credit card processing and toast pos

I don’t think you can switch processor while using Toast, as it requires to process with them if I remember correctly. But what you can do is get a competitive written proposal from any other company and have them match the proposed rates.

Credit card processing and toast pos

2.2% sounds ok as it is a fair charge but 15 cents per transaction is a little too high… Did you verify the percentage yourself or you just go with what they told you? You can do the following to find out your effective rate and take it from there: Monthly processing fees / Monthly Sales =...

    Pricing rant...

What advertising? and who said anything about a POS system? I don’t post with intention of selling or advertising. On most of my posts I’m trying to provide helpful information for others, or to collect information that will be useful for me and my project. With the exception of this post right...

    Pizza slice display case

I know that this doesn’t match your description exactly but this is what I came up with from a quick search. There are a lot more options with glass & metal frames out there. link: http://www.customdisplaycases.com/commercial_cases.htm You could read more about displays, warmers and regulations...

    Pricing rant...

Here is me ranting about prices not listed online… Say that you’re in need of a certain application, solution, or whatever that might be, and you get your coffee / drink and sit in front of your computer ready to start your research. You obviously don’t have all day because there are other...

How do you deal with the problem of drivers leaving food behind when they take a delivery?

You will either have to enforce a policy of something like checking all the printed items on the order slips, or if this is happening with one particular driver, then maybe there should be a job opening at your shop 😉

GrubHub.... Is this really this hard of a company to deal with???

I totally agree with bodegahwy. Yes, the customer attitude is changing, but keep in mind that more sales doesn’t always equal more profit!

    US Foods & ChowNow

There is the “Chowly.com” (I think) option, which can integrate most of the online ordering portals like GH, Eat24, ChowNow, etc. directly to the POS. Most POS support this integration. All you have to do is find out if your POS supports it. On the other hand, you’ll be dealing with and paying…...

    IMenu360 Online Ordering

You’re welcome! I sold my shop a while back so I’m not using any online platform now to recommend. I would suggest to search within the forum where you can find a lot of useful information and what you’ll need to be aware of. Best of luck!

    IMenu360 Online Ordering

Used it quite a few years ago, and it was a solid app back then. It was kinda expensive though from what I remember since they were charging a flat fee and a percentage. Don’t remember the rates exactly but I think it was around $25 per month plus 3% of every order. They were offering POS...

GrubHub.... Is this really this hard of a company to deal with???

LOL! Ok, first of all you don’t really need any incentives to drive customers away from GH. Have a reliable and responsive (mobile friendly) website of your own. Have an Online Ordering company (PREFERABLY NOT A PORTAL), build you your own listing for your store and link it to your website...

    Parmesan and crushed red pepper

I don’t know what the policy is in TX or FL, but here in MA no plates, napkins, etc. or parm & crash pepper are offered or delivered without request for residential. Only offered for businesses, schools, hotels, etc.
