Please help, I am in the process of buying a pizza place

joe auerilio: Different tastes for different people I guess. Everytime someone knocks conveyor ovens though, all I can think about is the fact that arguably the 5 best pizza places in Chicagoland use them.

Please help, I am in the process of buying a pizza place

Nasso: I spent some time in the Western Suburbs. I lived in Bartlett for a while. I am going to grab me some Aurellio’s from the Addison location tomorrow.

Please help, I am in the process of buying a pizza place

Please don’t bring up that wound. I have never been more mad at my school’s administration than that day. It is a very sad day for this country when a very vocal but very small minority gets what they want over a great but silent majority. Long live the Chief!!

j_r0kk: I think I will take your advice. This has been a very long week. I think I’m bringing some of my frustrations with me to my posts,.

Please help, I am in the process of buying a pizza place

Nasso: I know you cannot tell me the location of this place at this time due to a confidentiality agreement you almost certainly signed, but what general area are you in? Though I am “DFW”, I know far more about Illinois. Sweet home chicago will always be home. I also went to U of I, so I know...

    Wanting a Raise

j_r0kk: I don’t think you are cheap. I am shocked at some of the wages people on here pay their employees. I realize some is due to geographic differences, but some of it is just out of line.

pizza_guerilla: I think their secret ingredient is a steaming pile of $hit because that is certainly what their pizza tastes like.

Perry: $7.50 per hour plus $1.50 per delivery? Where do you live Perry? I would have a line of applicants 5 miles long if I offered that here, myself included.

Registered Guest: Thank you. By the way, I can care less if you register or not. But if you want to attack, you need to leave something to identify yourself otherwise you are a coward. Kinda like “guest”.

john: You are wrong. I have some drivers on call. No deliveries means I don’t pay them because I never call them in. Additionally, no deliveries may mean I send my regular drivers home early. I do not need waitstaff, so the drivers wages are a pure extra for me that I DO NOT NEED TO PAY if...

A different guest: I no longer have a turnover problem. And I do not have any hostility unless someone puts words in my mouth and attributes a quote to me I did not say.

    Wanting a Raise

Anonymous: I agree with Nick’s first offer. Find a way to offer her goals that if she reaches she will get her raise. But those goals should be something that is likely to lead to you getting more revenue as well. Maybe some threshold on customer service reports, or something like that.

    delivery pricing

paul7979: There are points that can be made here, but the big picture is still missing. If I do 100 deliveries tomorrow, have 100 pickups, and 100 people dine-in, my costs for those deliveries will be higher than my costs for the pick-ups or dine-ins and by a wide margin. As most people here...

Anonymous: I’ll deal with that when I have to. My first concern was dealing with the fact that I could not keep/find drivers. I have now done that.

Anonymous: I don’t know if you are the same “guest” as who posted the prior post(s), but I will always show hostility to someone who attributes false quotes to me. Especially when that someone doesn’t even have the stones to hide behind an anonymous but unique screen name, rather they have to...

Please help, I am in the process of buying a pizza place

j_r0kk: I cannot agree more with both of these points. Do not rely on the seller’s word for anything. It is entirely too easy to manipulate these numbers. If they insist on trying to prove their numbers by monitoring there business for a couple weeks, refuse. It is very easy to generate...

Please help, I am in the process of buying a pizza place

Nasso: All I can do is tell you my theories: I don’t think you will have a problem because of age. You will have problems if you are a bad leader. I was a manager at a place at age 21 and though there were some bumps in the first 3 or 4 months, I did not have any major problems. And looking...
