    Bought My First DELCO Today

Pizza Boom, I am guessing my comments to walk away from this deal is the source of your agitation. Based upon your comments in reply, my advice is unchanged. Bodegahwy is one of the most savvy posters on this board, do a search on his posts…he is the real deal. Wizzle Wassell’s comments should...

    "Specials" bending????

No brainer, charge for the extra toppings. If they want two toppings on one & the other plain, same deal. It’s not a matter of the customer always being right, it’s a matter of accepting an upsell (with no effort).

Is now a good time to buy a pizzeria?

That’s an excellent point George. Pakula, I did 670K in year one & did not have nets of 50K. I did draw a nice salary, but worked 90-100hrs per wk to get those numbers in year one & have a fair amount of restaurant experience. Too often the advice given here is “don’t buy that shop that is...

    Thoughts on this deal?

I like this deal. For 70K your buying 1/2 an interest in about 550K in gross sales, all to be under one roof with experienced operator as a partner. Around here, shops doing 10k per week go for 150k plus easy. My point is, you can probably get your money back out of this deal if you want out...

    Thoughts on this deal?

“How much are you making a year in the financing industry?” Hahaha, that really is the first question to ask. Here’s another, “Do you own a house? Do you like it?”

    Thoughts on this deal?

Nice post. Can you clarify who is buying what & how much. As I understand it, your paying 70K for half the pizza shop. Also, you are buying the ice cream shop with 40K down & are on the hook 40k more. When the businesses are combined, ,what is the split & who is making the payment on the...

Is now a good time to buy a pizzeria?

With all due respect to some of the responders to this post, if you think you can open a pizza shop FROM SCRATCH for pennies & net 50K in the first year–you have no business commenting on this gentleman’s post. Better yet, go do it. Get us some more numbers, like gross sales the past 5 years...

    SBA Loan with a Record??

Mr Royster, I don’t believe struggle99 is in the market for a 504. I’m pretty certain banks write the 7a & the SBA provides the guaranty. No bank will write the loan with a recent misdemeanor for drug possession. And if an officer does, back end audit will catch it.

    SBA Loan with a Record??

Yes, this can very well be a problem. It is very common for the bank to ask if you have any felony or misdemeanors & if they are not traffic related they will require an explanation. I remember this to be part of your personal history statement. I know this to be the case for SBA’s. Banks will...

Business related but off topic question

I would be curious to know what cash investment & what sorts of risks you would be taking on in starting this business & also, will you be pursuing this full time or part time while working elsewhere to support yourself. You should first confront this: are you really starting a business or are...

    Would this annoy you?

PapaJGirl, Yes, I find these types of calls extremely annoying. And I would not waste ten minutes explaining to them the sales volumes, delivery reimbursements, fees, shifts available, hourly rate and so on and so forth if the person called ONE TIME. This woman called 3 TIMES?! Are you kidding...

THREE DAYS FROM SIGNING & OVEN/HOOD SITUATION STILL A ME

Re: THREE DAYS FROM SIGNING & OVEN/HOOD SITUATION STILL If you are presently under these kind of pressures why don’t you put off signing the lease? Also, your rent should be abated until you get your C of O. At most, I would pay the common charges (CAM) until you get your certificate & have...
