    Market share

LOL! I think in this case, the seller says there are 18000 house holds/house addresses in their delivery area and 4000 of those are his customers. He tells me there is room to increase revenue by targeting those households with marketing. But I dont know if that is possible or not. The...

    Market share

A pizza delivery business I am reviewing claims to have 3000 households as customers out of a total of 18000 households in their delivery area. This works up to be around 16.6% market share. From what the seller tells me, he doesnt do any couponing or discounts. the only marketing he does...

    Forecasting labor costs

Thanks! Since we dont do delivery, I wonder if I can save on those 6 drivers. So your case of 1200/hr sales divided by 15 people staff = $80 revenue/hr/staff member Extrapolating your numbers for my scenario with no delivery drivers, 1200/hr sales divided by 9 people staff = $133...

    Forecasting labor costs

Great point on the 12.6%. I have added it to my wages math. phew I knew the industry runs on margins, but didnt fully comprehend the fact until I put all the numbers in excel and noticed that 2% difference in my wage calculations as a result of payroll taxes etc, ate up 14,000 in profits.

Would one of those 4 people be your delivery driver. As we don’t do delivery, wondering we would be saving on that extra resource.

So you want to sell your restaurant...........

Are there any industry benchmarks on the percentage difference between typical listing price and the final sale price? Also, if a business is sliding down 5% because of lack of interest in business from the sellers and personal issues between the business partners (sellers), how will that...

Compare against this below. You said your food is at 25%, rent at 4.1%, and 13000 in weekly revenues = 624000 annual revenue. even if we have 40% wages, you still should make 100,000+. Is your labor more than 40%? Income 624000 Cost of operating Food Costs 156000 25.00% Wages & Salaries...

    purchasing an existing shop

Just to give an update, I am no longer pursuing this store. Too many red flags for me and no way to confirm or deny anything. When I met broker, he wanted me to give him the questions beforehand, that I wanted to ask the owner directly. That was the last straw. Plus info provided was...
