Seattle ZPizza closing due to minimum wage increase?

I assume those $5 shops will become 7 or $8 shops… and with the price increases of all other places, they’ll still be the ‘cheap’ option, it’s not a convenient $5 bill anymore but I don’t see the market going away for cheap pizza. LC is going the way of Subway (although not as fast) and you see...

    late customers

One guy came in 10 minutes before close, drunk, and bought a pizza. We told him we closed in 10 minutes and his pizza would be done in 5… he said he was going to run to the mart across the street, I encouraged him to just wait for his pizza but off he went, and never came back. I waited about a...

Mercury Payment Systems... anyone else getting jacked these NEW "Fees"?

I’ve been getting the pci compliance email for a few months now, I think this thread will encourage me to stop ignoring it.

    Car Toppers revisited

Thanks guys. That’s a little disappointing to read about the brightness. I like the cordless route because I’m am working on getting dash cams for the cars and would like the outlet for that. I know I could bypass the cig lighter but that’s a hassle I didn’t really want to deal with. I’ll have...

So I’m in the market as well, curious to the Cabbie Tilt Lighting. Worth the $? Anyone know?

Share info on closing unexpectedly with competitors?

If I had to close because of equipment failure of some sort I would be so mad I don’t think I could talk to anybody but a repair guy.

    Shame on you Revention!

I love Revention. Small annoyances with dealing with various (small) issues but not enough to warrant a think tank post. Stay tuned though, I reserve the right to blast them in the future. But so far, so good!

anyone using a scale o matic for dough dividing

Thanks. I’ve never used the Somerset rounder… I know they’re about half the price of the roundomatic. Any opinions on the Somerset rounder from someone that might have used one? New they’re not that far off the ebay price.

anyone using a scale o matic for dough dividing

Love to find a rounder for 4k, I think I’ve seen them between 8-10k new. Hard to find used although the ones I’ve seen are around 5-6. Anyway, thanks for resurrecting this thread, it reminded me that I should seriously start to look for a roundomatic again.

    Anyone do a Heart Pizza?

We did one the last few years, we just drew a heart on a box and cut it out. Than used the cutter to trim the excess dough (we remixed it the following day so we had no waste) using the heart template as a guide. Really turned out awesome… but a total pain in the ass. The first year we prepped...

    Best vehicle for pizza owner?

Just got a '13 Ford Edge ltd awd a few months back, love it. '84 Ford F150 for trips to R Depot but I’ve only been making one trip every couple months so thinking about just renting a truck from now on. Dont like being in something so old that a fender bender could kill me. Life is good, that...

So is Super Bowl Sunday your busiest day of the year?

Superbowl has always been a letdown, between 2-5 pst we are pretty busy but than it’s a ghost town. It’s been less than an average Friday until last year when the Seahawks made it. The Superbowl was crazy busy last year, most like a really good Friday, but nothing too insane. Obviously a very...

    Credit Card monopoly

I think the point of the class action suit is to demand change… financial restitution is really an afterthought and as mentioned, goes to the lawyers anyway. I’m not interested in my 16.00 check, I’m interested in long-term changes to policy that could put more money in my pocket and the pockets...

    Cheese Prices

You are absolutely correct noreason. You are the only person who tries different cheeses and cares about their pizza. I’ve staked my entire livelihood for myself and my family on wild guesses. I was going for the ‘just answer the thread topic’ and was unaware I would have to defend my cheese...

    Cheese Prices

I paid 1.83 for lmps block from FSA, Roma rep scoffs and says, ‘Our Crown Jewel is only .10 more per lb’. You can call it crown jewel, royal jewel, awesome possum… but it tastes and melts the same as the other lmps I get for a .10 cheaper.

What's your best selling pizza ?

For the base we use Cheez Wiz, 6 ounces of moz, red potatoes seasoned with olive oil, salt, parsley, and garlic, 2 ounces of cheddar, bacon, than 2 more ounces of cheddar on the crust (with cheese prices what they are, it’s hard not to have fun with it while you can afford it)… than we top it...

Planning to open a 2nd location, DELCO only

We are kicking the idea around of opening a take n bake only store right across the street from us. Rent would be dirt cheap, around 350.00. No ovens, just a make line and take and bake pizza similar to Papa Murphys. There is a Murphys in our town that does great business thanks to EBT… we have...

What's your best selling pizza ?

I must revisit this thread as Brad had given me the motivation to follow through with this monthly pizza special I had been thinking of. Basically a loaded potato pizza. Quite popular. Pots cook great in the conveyor.

    Loyalty Program

I’ve been dragging my feet on my Revention loyalty program. We are a delco and we get very busy in the lobby during dinner, obviously phone orders are easy to keep track of as it is tied to a phone number, for us to implement the program we would need to tie all of the lobby traffic to phone...
