VERY Expensive Pizza in the Philippines

You gotta carry some cash in those smaller countries. I wonder what those two pizzas were supposed to cost? 10 USD maybe?

    Best of Awards

I just want to brag a little. But, it would be good to hear how others have taken advantage of Best Of awards. game plan for a new pizza chain moving in town

Watch what you do and make sure you’re consistently good. Pay attention to what customers are saying about the new place and use it to your advantage. It’s hard to hear people knock a competitor when “customers” are telling them what they like about a place. We had a place go in that was direct...

Any small guys considering stopping delivery

We’ve never delivered and only a small number of people that call even ask if we deliver now. They know they’re getting a good pizza and they’ll come in for it. One guy mentioned that his little kid calls him cheap when he goes elsewhere now, so he is buying less of the cheaper pizza. Delivery...

Fourth of July ---open or closed any input?

We’re closed. Most people are BBQ’ing. Plus, we’re definitely not in a resort town. Saturday and Sunday should be decent though as people have guests around and BBQ’d the day before. People are out shopping, etc.

5 months and ready to fold help!!

Sorry to hear about the problems. Change the name of the place. Pick something fun. Not sure I’d eat at a place that’s named after piles of anything Offer less items Tell the kids they need outside jobs The buffet should be more salad than anything (cheese and pep pizza only). The idea is to...

    Eggs In Dough

Tom Lehmann: The color thing is funny. Some of those hamburger buns are so yellow they glow. 😎 Based on what Tom said I did a little search. I didn’t realize that people were allergic to eggs. Most ask if they can get a pizza without cheese or if we have dough that’s not wheat based, but never...

    another review please

Pretty nice. The reflections under the menu clipart are a little much, but the idea is in the right direction. Very Apple. You can add customer comments, links to yelp and other search sites if your reviews are good. Win any awards?

    Eggs In Dough

It doesn’t sound good. Does your dough smell once it gets a little on the old side? I’d be leary of the issues Tom mentions. Just use a good quality oil.

    Excess water on pizza

Wouldn’t more water in the cheese cause your pizzas to burn and turn dark. We’d done a few tests with cheaper cheese against Grande and we got the burn. Not water. Mushrooms though…

    ready to sell

How many people are buying their space versus just leasing? If you buy are you doing it under one business name and then leasing to yourself? Buying seems ok if you find a cool space, but does it makes sense for every location that you open? If you’re only making 70K like this guy, maybe it’s...

I’d do slices. A 2 slice box to go might be interesting next to theater, especially if the theater is willing to work with you.

Destination Restaurant? What is it and how do you become one

Re: Destination Restaurant? What is it and how do you become Hooter’s a destination restaurant? You need a hook and good food. Most places now a days have something about them before they start franchising, so pat attention to what’s going on at other places. Read forums and Yelp to see what...

need help on sicilian pizza pans

You want to buy the steel pans. Don’t use the aluminum ones. After the steel is seasoned, you just wipe them down and oil them. Don’t stick em in the sink to clean them. We sell by the slice so a whole pie gets cut into 9 pieces. I can’t remember the pan size though. Sorry…

Seafood: Does it have a place in your pizzeria?

We don’t even do anchovies. My partner can’t stand the smell of seafood / fish. We’ve never had anyone ask for anything other than anchovies though.
