    Mayweather fight

Oh no, I’m a DELCO. Just wondering if sales will be higher.

New way to drive sales - Pizza and Movie Download program

Just wasn’t a hit with our customers… I bundled it with 2 larges and a bread, try to create a higher ticket. We didn’t sell a lot of them.

    Mayweather fight

What should we expect. First big fight as an owner. Certainly the most hyped fight I can remember.

New way to drive sales - Pizza and Movie Download program

It didn’t work well for us. Google “red box bulk promo codes”. You can buy them there, they email them, I copied and pasted them into mailing labels and attached them onto menus.

Is "The Black Book" still relevant or is there a new go to?

I want to say the version we used was $199/mo. The idea is great, the execution is terrible, IMO. The emails they sent on our behalf were cheesy and reflected none of the brand we are trying to build. Furthermore, the emails came from a generic @myrewardsprogram.net which I found kinda...

Is "The Black Book" still relevant or is there a new go to?

I used Repeat Returns and to say I was unsatisfied would be an understatement.

    Bitcoin

I’ve never been asked before either, but I typically bring it up when someone asks if I take AMEX or Discover. “I try not to limit the ways in which you want to give me money, I’ll take bitcoin if I can figure it out”. I’m sure there aren’t a lot of retailers taking it right now, might be a good...

Yup, they have units equivalent to a penny.

New way to drive sales - Pizza and Movie Download program

Running the promotion this weekend. 2 Large 1 Topping pizzas, cheese bread and a promo code for $25… Bought some shipping labels and printed out each promo code on them, stuck them on menus. Will report back how it worked.

    what would you do?

I’m shocked at how many of you have a ‘no big deal’ attitude about this. I can count on one hand how many times my wife has been in the kitchen while we were open or I was working on something.

    Bitcoin

When someone wants to give me money. I try not to limit the ways in which they can do that. I’ve had it on my mind since we opened. Haven’t looked into it enough to do it yet though.

You can purchase redbox gift cards in bulk. In fact this just reminded me that I wanted to do that.

    Building a Professional Website

Put out a RFP on craigslist for having a website being built. Get proposals, talk with a few, decide who you like best. Ours cost $2500 to get it done, but it looks professional and people often assume we are a chain store.

    In store marketing

We already do that, but by that point we’ve already made the sale. Some people want to be sold and upselling verbally is great for them. Others want to make their own decisions. I’ve bought some ceiling tile poster hangers and some suction cups, gotta design some posters.

    In store marketing

We have virtually none, and I know I need to get some. Anyone have good contacts for window clings and hanging posters? What do you do to market to your customers once they are in the store?

    Restaurant Experience

Hell, ask to be an intern somewhere. I worked at a pizzeria for about a year and half, joined the navy because I didn’t want to work in a pizza place the rest of my life, and got out last year after 13 years and opened a pizzeria. I think understanding the pace of a rush is the most important...

    What's your YELP rating?

I guess my main point would be that if there were dozens and dozens of posts about the atmosphere, that would mean your market expects something else. I’m sure that isn’t the case, just using an extreme example to make a point. Like Capt Hook said, it’s free advice, why not take a look at it?

    What's your YELP rating?

To quote Jon Taffer, you aren’t selling food, you’re selling an experience, pizza is just a vessel for you to deliver your experience. I get that some of them seem (and are petty), but if there were 15 reviews that all mentioned the temperature or the noise level, wouldn’t that be something...

    What's your YELP rating?

It’s like saying because you don’t buy Adwords, you don’t care what your search rank is on Google. You can choose not to do business with yelp, I dont, but to not care what your rating is or what information is on your profile is shortsighted, IMO. Your business WILL have a listing, you can...

    Online Ordering

I use Hunger Rush. I’m sure there are plenty of options out there a simple google search will turn up.
