I was wondering if anyone would be interested in forming a buying group for all of your main supplies… ie: flour, salt, yeast, oil, butter, spices, tomato products… both canned and fresh… veggies, boxes, paper supplies, this could even include better pricing from soda and beer suppliers… even though it might only save a few dollars per item… it does add up really fast. I would be interested in administering such a group and handling the negotiations of all prices and shipping which would free up time for store operators and should benefit everyone’s bottom line. I am interested in feedback. Let me know what you all think. If we can get at least a couple of dozen operations for a startup I think we could have a good go at it. It might take a little adjustment of ingredients…but nothing too extreme. Give me your thoughts.
