Does anyone know how to decipher the serial number on a Hobart mixer to determine the MFG date?
Please post the serial number and I may be able to help you.

I didn’t know they made the p660 that long ago. I would have expected it to be much newer.
My chart does not differentiate between models perhaps they had a different numbering system for the P 660. I will try to determin that.

Good day George,
I have a Hobart 5014 Meat Saw, Serial Number 13 650 59. From this is it possible to ascertain the date of manufacture?
Thank you,
Michael
Hi George! I was hoping you could help me determine the year of my Hobart Mixer. It is a model M-802. The serial number is 11-149-691.
I so appreciate any help on this.
I spoke with Hobart a few months ago to inquire about another mixer. They said that mixers with 7 numbers in the serial number would be made pre 70’s. And with 8 digits would be made in the 70’s. So I would gather yours was made in the 70’s.
