How would you handle this employee infraction?

Not sure if this is comforting or not, but, In my travels I hear about these types of events all the time!
The common ones are leaving the phone off the hook, unplugging the cable/internet modem to stop online orders, or just leaving the store early. That was inspiration to add alerting to our Unified Office system - letting applicable persons via text/email know when the phones are down, internet down, store closes early, etc in real-time - and be able to fix immediately.

From the owners I’ve spoken with they typically use it as one time coaching opportunity and to communicate if they’re overwhelmed, etc…
