Liquor Sales

I am about to add a dining room, and just found out that my town has passed liquor by the drink. Can anyone give some numbers as to the added revenue to be had from adding this to my store? What kind of margins would I be looking at?

By the way, my population is about 12,000 in a 5 mile radius. I would also be the first to offer this in my area.


I can’t tell you what to expect in sales, but I can tell you that your cost of goods sold for your well drinks should be around 18-20% when priced properly. When you start getting into your call drinks some of them stay in low 20’s, and a lot of them go into the high 20’s and low 30’s. All depends on what your atmosphere is and what the market will bear.
