I was opening cans of sauce the other day with our Halco can opener and with my left hand I grabbed the head of the can opener like I always do to stabilize it. Except this time I grabbed it a little lower and my finger wrapped around the portion of the gear that is exposed. So the gear grabbed a bite on the flesh and pulled it into the gap between the gear and the frame. There was a lot of pain, a little blood and possibly some foul language. We have been open for 12 years and this has never happened before but looking at this thing I don’t understand why because it was incredibly easy to do.
So has anybody else done this?
