Our local heros bring it home!!. Three of the four members of the Nordic Combined Team are from our little town. Today they won the Silver medal in the Team event. This is huge. No American ever won a medal in this event in Olympic history until this year. One of the athletes is the son of a friend from Rotary and another is the son of one of the 5th grade teachers (now retired) where my kids went to elementary school.
You can bet the homecoming event will be huge. We have had ski jumping in our town since about 1917 so this was a long time coming!
