trouble with pos sales rep

So i heard about a pos system from ncr/aloha that you can lease instead of buy. This is attractive to me because I feel like in three years anything I buy will be obsolete. Now the rep has been giving me the run around and doesn’t return calls. Is this common? When I said I wanted to lease and not buy is when he lost interest. So now I’m back to considering revention. Any tips?
