Unexpected Media Exposure

About 2 months ago my wife was at one of the schools in our town because they were having semester awards for our kids. While there she overheard a woman that was very upset (distraught) and crying asking the school staff if they would hand out some flyers to the adults that were there that day.

My wife eventually asked the woman what it was that she was attempting to distribute. It turned out that this woman’s niece had been missing and she was just trying to hand out flyers to raise awareness. My wife, who was immediately saddened, told her that we owned a pizza shop and that not only would we hand them out, but we would tape them to our boxes.

The woman had just moved to our town and did not know that we were there but had stated that she had been to our competitor (one of the big 3) and was told that they would get back with her. They never did.

A few days ago I received a call from a news station wanting to interview us. Here is what aired on the nightly news. http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext?nxd_id=573262

I have heard it said to be successful you need to work hard and be nice to people. You appear to be doing both so I have no doubt you are successful. Often it is the small independent shops that have the biggest hearts when it comes to helping out a person in need.

Good job!

great stuff man! Doing something like that is awesome.

Hope they find the girl safe.

I am saddened to report this update.
