What are some good ways to show customer appreciation?

I got a call from Stanislaus yesterday. The reason for the call was to say thank you for being a customer. It got me thinking that I have forgotten to show my customers that I appreciate their support.

How about a postcard or a greeting card once per month with a special offer? Everyone gets emails these days but getting a real live card in the mail is becoming a rarity.
