Which way to put heat shields in?

I bought 2 new heat shields(the large,center) for my Hustler 9080a and need to know the right way to place them in the oven.

One side is about 1" deep and the other goes to about 2 1/2" deep.

Correction - the model # is 1030a not 1080a

I take it you already took the old ones out? I always orient my new part before I even take out the old one so I know I have the right Part in the first place. Have you tried to search for a schematic for your oven on the internet?
