3 compartment sink questions

Few questions…is it better to buy one with attached drainboards? Or no drainboards and use a dishtable? I don’t see how a 12" drainboard is gonna be very helpful when there are a ton of pans, dishes and utensils to wash. Can I put shelves next to the sink instead of a drainboard? What are ya’ll doing? I wasnt worried about this before today…just found out I have to install ANOTHER dang sink.

Hi CG:

Most all jurisdictions require drain boards that are at attached.

Some only require the drain boards to be at least the width of a sink bowl, some require 24 Inch some 30 Inch.

Check with your Health department before buying.

Perhaps you would be better to have a soiled dish table rather then a drain board. They can be any length you want.

I would not consider one that did not have a drain board whether they are required or not.
