I wanted to share some of my happiness at finding a good mixer at long last. Some of you counselled patience, and it paid off. I sweated and poured over list and listing of used mixers all over the place. I finally found a liquidation auction of a Johnny’s NY Style here in Atlanta (1.5 hour drive). Our primary target was the Hobart P660 mixer. Is was in the last third of the stuff auctioned . . . sheesh. We bought a lot along the way, too.
Final score:
Hobart P660 + pelican head with shred disc + really used pallet jack = $2875
We did well for ourselves and I scored credibility points with the head man over the stuff we got, especially the mixer. I laughed when the third guy came up and offered me his 80qt for the one we just got . . . two would deliver to our town for us
Now to get a whisk and a paddle and we are in big business.
