Affordable Source of Low Diastatic Malt in NYC

Hey all,

I’ve been using low diastatic malt powder and like it a lot. However, our distributor doesn’t carry it and I’m having difficulty finding it in bulk. Is anyone aware of an affordable source, in NYC or online, where we can purchase in bulk?

How much malt do you use for a 50 lb sack of flour?

Go to the web site for Malt Products, Inc. <www.maltproducts.com> and they should have just about anything you might need. The amount used will depend upon the Lintner value of the product that you’re planning to use. I used to use a 20-Lintner value malt powder and only used 0.25% of the flour weight.
