Yes, I believe they will, but I doubt you’ll see bidding end at only a few hundred unless they are in seriously remote locations. Hobart mixers are as good as cash and other than being heavy and a pain to move, are very easy to convert to money. I’d be shocked to see any of these sell for under $1000 and I would guess most will sell for $1500-$2000. At this price they are worth it for a local dealer to hold till someone needs it. At $1000 it’s worth it for a national dealer to pay someone to pack and ship it to them. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think they did a pretty good job marketing the auction if I got a flyer despite never hearing of the auctioneer. Plus, it made it’s way to the Think Tank.

This looks like some national chain has moved from in store dough making to commissary and they are surplussing these nation wide. All have the same characteristics, most of the photos are from the same vantage point and of equal quality, and even the floor material looks similar in many photos. Tripping point is that they all must be removed on the same day, and only that day.

Looks like the dealers are topping their bids out at $1100 os so, add to that 15% buyers premium and hauling and you get an idea of price.

Anybody get one?

Spoke too soon, 1100 would have been nice. Picked one up for 2300+15%+tax+hauling = about what you could find one on craigslist if you have the time. JoK did you buy 4? lol

I ended up with four for $3900. I wasn’t available when the auction ended so I just put bids on the ones close to me. Ended up winning them all. No idea what in the hell I am going to do with four mixers. Imagine the price will bottom out as well for a while with all these coming on the market.

On the upside no longer worried about mixers breaking at any of my stores

I can’t believe I missed this!!! Any idea what the mixers in Iowa and Nebraska went for? I would like to kick myself a little harder.

Hi,

I am new to the forum and first of all wanted to thank Ronny for alerting The Think Tank to the recent Hobart mixer sale we conducted on behalf of our client.

Although all mixers sold, there could be certain locations where buyers were not able to get the mixer. If this is the case, I will list specifics on any available units and where they are located.

If you have any other questions, feel free to post here or contact me directly.

Thank you,

John Coelho

I have just posted a Tiger Online Auction Event in the PMQ Yard Sale here for an industrial pizza line and other assets:

If this has relevance for anyone on this site, feel free to call or email me.
