cogs on box topper coupons?

What is your target of cogs on your coupons/box toppers? I’m pricing everything with the highest option and thinking 28-29% due to it being higher than our typical check average, bringing more cash to the bottom line. but the coupon is:
  1. garlic knots(big order of 5)
  2. either lg house or caesar salad
  3. any 14" specialty pizza
  4. if i throw in a 2 liter it brings cogs to 28% if not 25% the coupon being for $30
thoughts? My guests are a mix of young families and retiress, I have different coupons but this is just one

I usually try not to go more than 30%. Unless the special includes wings. If it does I look at it like this: Take the wings at regular price (do not include them in the discount) because they are normally about a 50% F+P cost. Discount the other item(s) in the coupon. Make that to 30% (at the most). Our target F+P is 30%, so I don’t want to go any higher than this when making a coupon, unless it is a agressive once or twice a year type promotion that we are running.
