Damper Effect on Oven?

We have an old Gardner rotating rack oven. What is the effect on the oven by adjusting the damper? How does it affect the pizza? Ours is currently jammed shut but were working on getting it fixed and just need to know what to expect.

I have been in this business since 1953 and never incountered a Gardner oven.

I would be interested in learning more about that unit.

You might contact Cobble stone ovens they have more experience in that type oven than anyone I know.

Not many pizza shops using that type oven. How does that work out for you?
