Well, I believe knowing your market is a big part of buying or starting any business. If this guy did his due diligence, he would have known about this issue and possibly decided to not open there. Since we can only assume he did know (it seems there is some history to this), then I don’t really sympathize with him. Maybe the law is crazy, but it’s a law the locals decided they wanted. Think about all the dry towns in rural America. You don’t go there, open a pizza place and then get pissed off because you can’t serve beer or wine.
