I’m pretty much refusing to use any “service” that charges me a swipe fee like credit cards for accepting gift cards. My current POS system only has that as an option. With a single store, it makes sense for me to use something local… but I can’t find any software that works. The one I looked at 2 years ago, has gone and gotten all fancy and no longer does what I want. They moved to a “server” as well and the cost is prohibitive. I have all these cards printed up with mag stripes that I want to use, but I need a database program to keep track of the totals.
Aside from hiring a programmer to do the project for me, anyone using a software app that WORKS?
