Godfathers is going to 100% franchising. The VP of operations is a pizza guy who was owner of franchises in oregon. In June, the number of corporate stores were under 50. There were numerous conversions from corporate to franchise and I’m guessing they have come to a point where they can’t sell the remaining corporate stores for the overinflated prices they are asking.
It is a miracle they have made it this long. Twenty years ago they were on decline, the franchises have kept them afloat this long. Time will tell what happens. If these rumors are true, closing of the remaining corporate stores is not unforseeable.
