Got to take a day off once in a while!

Here is how I spent my afternoon: On the river about 3 miles as the crow flys from my home. It was snowing part of the time… but worth it!

Very nice!! That brings back childhood memories of fishing on Grand Mesa over 40 years ago. I pulled in one almost that size as a kid.

My buddy and I caught several. This was the best of the ones I caught. He got one just about the same size 10 minutes before I landed this one. Came in at 24" and I estimate about 5 lbs. As you can see in the pic, we still have plenty of snow on the ground. The rivers are opening up but are still running clear for the most part. That will change in the next few weeks.
