Grilled Onion Recipe's?

Anyone make their own grilled onions for use as a pie topping or for use in chicken or steak phillies…and if so how do you go about making them?

Thinking of making them in bulk rather than per use…any suggestions?

We dice white onions into 1/2" squares, and saute in a large fry pan, until they are soft but still have a bite. Drain, and store in reach-in for 3-5 days. To use we just lay them on the pizza or philly. The oven brings them back to life like we just cooked’em! Used for philly, pizza topping and chicken fajita pizza.

All I do is cut onions into 1 inch thick slices, and grill on each side. After they chill, I then dice them up to whatever size I need. They will last 3-5 days in the fridge covered tightly.

We don’t do a lot of them, but when we do we put them in a foil sheet, crinkle and put in the pizza oven.
