I used a small doughball on a small screen and cut 1/3 from the top center then shaped it. Form the 2 tops and bring it together in a point at the bottom. It came out quite well.
I use a cookie cutter in the shape of a heart,
make the skin as usual, press the cutter down, trim away the outside, remove cutter, and there is a heart shaped skin,
as for chocolates, I am giving a small box of a few assorted chocolates, cost $1 to $2
the pizza is roughly a 10 to 12"
you can hand toss your skins and use a cardboard/paper template to cut out your heart-shaped design…use your pizza cutter and trim around the template…
make a regular pie, or any size, based on your template…
brush it w/butter & cinnamon sugar
put apple pie filling on it…
throw some chocolate chips on it, bake it, then drizzle Hershey’s syrup over it
Up 35% from regular Wed. did 57 heart shaped pies. I think record is 92 for us in 7 or 8 years. Cut heart from 12" rounded shell with shaped cutter. Real easy, had hoped for more although i only advertised a little.
$6 each topping extra, nice profit.
I didnt have any requests for heart shaped pizzas although I do have the cutter for doing them. My sales were up about 25% from a normal wednesday but compared to last year same day I was up about 12% which is what I expected being Valentines.
