High altitude and deck gas ovens

We are planning a move from 1,000 feet above sea level to 4,5oo feet above sea level and I am wondering if my ovens will need to have the air mixture reset. My ovens are almost 50 years old blodgett 1000’s and the adjustment vent for the gas/air mixture is most likely frozen. Thanks. Walter

Hi walter:

You will need to adjust the gas air mixture valve to get more oxygen for combustion.

Some liquid wrench from an auto supply may loosen the valve.
