Insurance Differences

In everyone’s opinion are insurance costs(including workman’s comp) more expensive for a dine-in operation or for a delco?

I’m pretty sure a properly insured delivery operation will cost significantly more than a dine in restaurant. In Florida, the workers comp rate for drivers is more than double that as a server or kitchen worker. You will also spend quite a bit on hired non owned liability or liability insurance on company owned autos. The dine in restaurant will have slightly higher rates to insure the premises due to more square footage and possibly due to more people on the premises. Generally this is the smallest part of the insurance cost and will not be close to the workers comp or auto increases. Any insurance agent should be happy to quote you both ways so you can make an informed decision.
