Marble to existing coldtable?

Hi John:

We have sold thousands of pizza prep tables but never one with a marble work surface.

Why Marble?

Dough is easier to work with on marble than stainless steel.
I laid a layer of marble on a stainless steel table. Is that what you are asking?

For the above reason and aesthetics. I’ve always liked the way a marble prep area looked. What is your recomendation George?

I am not against Marble, its just that we have never had anyone ask for it.

Our clients are about evenly split between stainless and composition cutting boards.

Marble may outweigh what most folks can move around and handle.
I know that granite weighs about 100# per 12 in square.
Marble may be too large to clean under.
