Hello all,
I am thinking of getting back into the pizza biz after being away for 15 years. I currently live on Saipan, a US territory near Guam. Other than one old national franchise, there is no competition here. Population=50,000, with a monthly tourist influx of close to 60,000, all from Asia.
My biggest problem is the cost of sourcing food and utilities. The commercial power rate here is .43/kWh, and the cost of LP gas(my only option) is $5.85 per gallon. I want to bring in a Baker’s Pride deck at 120,000BTU, but that alone will run me over $2,000 a month in gas, and it’s 100 degrees here everyday, 365 days a year. So my power bill will be obscene.
I can’t make the numbers work, and I think I may need someone to talk me out of this.
