I’m out of Marinara sauce. I noticed that some of you here make their own sauce, so I like to see if someone can help walk me through some steps to make some sauce for today. US Food & SYSCO are closed because it’s Sunday and the one SAM’S CLUB has is not good.
I think I have the necessary elements to making it myself, I just don’t know how. I have Olive Oil, Crushed Tomatoes (the one I have is called 7/11), Oregano Leaves, Gralic Powder, Black Pepper and so on…
I thank you all in advance.
Saad.

Marinara Sauce

2 cups Olive Oil Blend
2 cups Garlic, chopped in oil
2 cups diced red onions
1 cups diced green peppers
1/2 lb. Fresh Basil, chopped fine in food processor
4 cups Sauterne wine
1 cups Italian Seasoning
1/4 cup black pepper
¼ cup salt
4 #10 cans Tomatoes, Roma, chopped in food processor

In a large stockpot, on medium heat, sauté olive oil, chopped garlic, onion & peppers for 5-10 minutes.

Add sauterne wine, simmer, & reduce volume by 50%.

Add the chopped basil, the chopped Roma tomatoes, the salt, pepper, & Italian spice. Stir well.

Simmer on low for 2 hours.

Place into smaller lexan containers & cool.

A simple and serviceable pizza sauce can be made using . . .

3 cans 7-11 tomatoes (#10 size)
1 oz black pepper
1 oz granulated garlic OR 3 oz chopped garlic
1 oz dried oregano
1/2 oz dried basil
1/4 tsp salt
optional 1/2 to 1 cup cup olive oil
