Small wood fired oven temps

I got invited out to a friends house to ‘help’ with dinner. They asked me to make a few pizzas in their ‘brick oven’. It is a tiny thing that can cook one pizza at a time. Anyone ever used a small wood fired oven like that before? What is the best way to keep the temp high enough to make more than a few pizzas an hour?
