We had a servere storm hit this afternoon with huge hailstones and torrential rain and high winds.
The rain was so heavy it flooded the roof of the shopping centre we are in collapsing in some sections.
Centre mangement evacuated the centre about 4.40pm and ordered all outside shops (including ours) to cease trading as they were switching power off to the affected stores. We were asked only to keep our coolroom and freezers on and switch off all other power.
Of course there were idiots coming to the doors trying to get in and when we told them all shops were closed they asked, “Why??” The carpark was under water shops wre cordoned off with tapes, rubble was everywhere … duh !!!
And my head still hurts from the hailstones hitting the old noggin …
