I am looking a buying a used walkin it was for indoors 8x10…
I was told i could build a shroud for the compressor to keep off the elements and it could be used out doors as well…
anyone know if this is the case?
anyone know how I could winterize a walk in?

make sure you are buying one w/a floor…

check your county/state regs 2 see what is required so code enforcement won’t kill it…

someplace require it to have structural designs submitted, as it may need to meet hurricane/tornado winds/strapped down etc…

many outside coolers might be “grandfathered” in…

when your resetting it up, use some WD-40 in the camlocks…

watch out for severely bent or rusted panels…

if you don’t plan moving it, you can silicone the seams/roof and or use that mobile home roofing “paint” for the top &/or sides…

a simple metal shroud should suffice to keep the machinery out of the elements…

An indoor compressor will freeze in the winter.

Hello Red,If you know a ‘good’roofer he or she can do you a rubber roof which lasts many years.and be sure to put down a 4’’ concrete slab for it to sit on.
