    Boxtoppers

So, my question is, which is more important? We currently stuff menus in the sides but sometimes people forget so i know they don’t get out to everyone who gets them. Any suggestions? I have custom printed boxes as well and had the same reservations about covering them up with boxtoppers. I...

Survey to find out how to succeed or fail

Ok guys. 255 views and only 21 surveys taken. It’s only 7 questions and you already know the answers.

Survey to find out how to succeed or fail

Good point. Unfortunately the databases I’ll be using will be U.S. data only but the results should likely transcend boundaries.

Survey to find out how to succeed or fail

I have some theories about what factors cause a pizza shop to succeed or fail. I would like to test those theories. Please take a moment to fill out this simple survey. It’s all anonymous so no one, including me, will know who does what and where. I’ll crunch the numbers against various...

how can i benefit from competitor shut down?

When I bought my business I kept the phone number of the previous pizza shop. In retrospect I would never do it again. I’ve had countless angry “customers” who thought I was defrauding them or trying to trick them. I’ve been cussed out, yelled at, and abused. Almost none of the previous shop’s...

how can i benefit from competitor shut down?

Focus some advertising on the closest neighborhoods around that store. If you have free delivery that would help pick up his carryout business. Make sure your ads include a small map showing your location and maybe how many minutes away you are. In those terms it doesn’t seem as far to people.

    here it is.........

Is it a professionally printed menu or just something he ran off on his inkjet? If it’s the finished product you have a great advantage in knowing now that he’s stuck with 10,000 of those and you can change more quickly. That’s unlikely though. If he’s just now building then you have months to...

    T-shirt Printer

In case anyone is looking for a good t-shirt/hat printer, I use a guy who is local to me but he works for clients all over the world. He’s good, inexpensive, easy to work with, low minimums, and he cares about his work. I have two t-shirt web sites in addition to the pizza business and he...

    Marketing idea

I did this the day after I read that post and the response was great. I sent one out to each of my top 100. My offer with it wasn’t all that inspired so my tracking didn’t work well. But I bet I had 20 customers personally thank me and tell me how great it was. I had 2 or 3 who, when they found...

Ideas for a "College Student Package"

I know when I was in school (Go Bucks!) it was all about money. We ate garbage pizza and loved it because it was cheap. 16" 2-top for $5.95 free delivery. I hold a slightly different perspective now. Anyway, my roommates and I had a routine every week for where we would eat. Monday was Skyline...

    Making an employee an offer

Like td_VP192 I don’t think I want someone who would only give one day’s notice. I truly believe in giving promotions and raises to people who work hard and deserve it but I need them to respect me in return. Giving notice is the very least one can do. My guess is that this issue will arise...

    gift card question

Do you have a POS? If so they probably offer a gift card package that will work seemlessly with it. It will likely cost between $1K-2K. If not there are independent companies who offer them. It is usually less expensive through them but more hassle. They will sell you the cards which you sell to...

    Marketing Plans

I forgot to mention my Thank You cards in my earlier post. I had some post cards printed with a nice script “Thank You” on one side and my writing with a Sharpie on the inside...
